| Customer Reviews: I'm a potter - putty works well for me. August 3, 2010 DrMom (PA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a potter and have used this putty to secure my pots on shelves. It works very well. It isn't so strong you risk breakage if you forget and try to pick it up, but it is strong enough to ensure it doesn't get bumped over by accident.
Another great use is behind picture frames to help hold them level. Hang the prints by a wire as usual, but put the putty on the two bottom corners of the print and stick it to the wall once it is level. I might order two if you plan on securing a bunch of stuff. One package is only good for a few things, maybe a dozen assorted pots.
I have no complaints about it so far.
Just what I wanted May 17, 2010 Christina Smith 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this to stick some small frames and 1"mirror tiles to the walls of my exhibition space and it worked perfectly. It was exactly what I wanted and it did what it said it would, simple as that.

This product isn't perfect, but among other products, it's pretty close. I use this stuff for product shots, anchoring frames, holding pottery in place in the china cabinet, display posters, etc, etc. It works great on just about anything that is the tiniest bit porous, glass is a little trickier and you may need more than usual. Museum wax was recommended to me as well, so I purchased that as well with this order. It might have been the thing to use 20 years ago but it just isn't worth the hassle of the mess and clean up to use, not to mention the melting factor. Save your money and stick with the putty.
best product for holding May 2, 2010 C. Olinsky 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have three cats. My husband is an sculpture artist. We have his work plus other breakables on display in our home. This product holds them secure when / if a cat decides to jump on the shelf or table where these items are displayed. It's great and I highly recommend it.
Good Product April 6, 2010 C. J. Weigand 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have used Quake Hold Putty for years. I have Waterford Crystal displayed and it holds heavy crystal in place without moving. I also use it to keep seldom opened china cabinet doors secure. It works well with picture frames on walls, however it will leave a mark after several years. It does wash off fairly well if you have to move a picture or paint.
